Going to Lavaux

By train

Come in Lavaux by train and prefer soft mobility. Among the lines of the trains RER Vaud crossing the breathtaking landscapes of Lavaux and the Riviera, the S1 (Lausanne-Villeneuve) serves all stations overlooking Lake Geneva, the S2 and S21 climb towards Puidoux-Chexbres, and S31 through the vines, between Vevey and Puidoux-Chexbres, at the heart of Heritage of UNESCO.

To travel freely throughout the region, get the daily chart Mobilis Lavaux Pass at the Information points in the region, in a station or at the SBB tickets distributors. If you start from a place outside the Canton of Vaud, take advantage of the combined RailAway discount.

Online schedules on

By boat

It is said that the Lavaux vineyards dive down into the lake. Enjoy the proximity between the water and the vines and come to Lavaux by boat. Schedules of the cruises on Lake Geneva are available on the website of the CGN.

By funicular

The funicular runs from Vevey up to the Mont Pelerin. On its way, it passes through Corseaux and Chardonne. When travelling by funicular, one can appreciate how steep the slopes are in the region!

By bus

It is possible to reach Lutry by bus from Lausanne on the No.9 bus (longer journey than by train) or Grandvaux with the No.66 bus. From Pully, it is also possible to reach Grandvaux with the No.47 bus. Schedules and journeys are available on the website under.

By car

We encourage you to use public transport to visit Lavaux. However, if travelling by car, leave the motorway at Belmont or Vevey. Then, signposts will guide you to one of the five car parks (Cully, Lutry Vinorama, Chexbres or Vevey).
